Mount Kailash

Anyone for Mount Kailash. Really affordable. Inclusive of airfare to Kathmandu, all inland travel in Kathmandu right up to Mount Kailash and back, most meals plus accommodation ...... excludes airport tax/fuel charge, yak rental ...... the entire trip should cost below RM8,000. I will strongly advise to make the figure to RM10,000, the extra RM2,000 for contingencies. Travelling will be 4 to a jeep and an entourage of cooks, porters will accompany the entire trip. It will be a 17 day trip and expected date of departure is 19 June 2008

"Situated in the southwestern part of Tibet bordering the Kumaon hills and Nepal, is Mount Kailash. It is a supremely sacred mountain, cosmology connected with Mount Meru, the great mythological mountain that forms the axis of the world system. Being a central watershed of Asia, it has always been the most sacred of mountains for Hindus, Buddhists, Jains and Bons. Conventional wisdom says a single circuit of Mt Kailash wipes out the sins of lifetime, 108 guarentees enlightenment. A ritual bath in the sacred Manasarovar lake will deliver a pilgrim to Brahma’s paradise and a drop drink of its water relinquishes the sins of hundred lifetimes."

Now it's update time. My daughter's feedback is that these days Ryan does not have disturbed sleep during the night vs with the radio on. In the past every night around 10.00pm to 11.00pm he would wake up crying loudly for no apparent reason.

So grandmother's tales work after all!!!!

Dream On

My daughter and I were watching Ryan sleep on the night of the 8th day of Chinese New Year. Fire crackers were booming across the sky at the stroke of midnight. The Hokkiens were welcoming the New Year with aplomb with elaborate preparation of food and rituals for the night.

From a distance amidst the crackling sound of the fire crackers, I could hear very soft soothing music. It was a perfect set up for a good slumber coupled with the dim pinkish glow from a salt lamp nearby.

It was then I remembered reading a passage from the book "ESP For Kids". It talks about dreamwork and that dreams take place in the Alpha level of brain activity ie when the brain is pulsing/producing a steady wave of electric current cycling from 14 to 7 cycles per second (cps). And dream research attests to the fact that for physical and mental well-being, we need our Alpha dream-sleep. Therefore it is recommended that you do not have the TV, radio, cassettee or CD player to be left on while you sleep. This sleep cycle will be disrupted and can result in irritability, memory loss, physical coordination problem etc.

I shared this with my daughter and she immediately asked me to help her turn the radio off. So remember folks, while music is great for the body, mind and soul, it can also have some adverse effect when your body cries for total rest. I will be covering more on dream work soon

Paid To Blog

I have just retired from a business which I have set up some 10 years ago and am trying to figure out the popular question retirees ask "how do i expend my time?"

I have heard all about blogging but was never told that you get paid to blog. Synchronocity or being informed at an opportune time, my daughter informed me about this scheme. I got online, did a little read and decided "why not!". You can still be a retiree and have an active bank account.

Who says one needs to be on the streets to make your dollar. Now it is made all possible with "paid to blog" and it is as simple as ABC.

A. As in setting up a blog
B. Journal up your blog
C. Register an account with Blogvertise

Isn't that simple. So what are you waiting for. Go get online and head straight for blogvertise

Happy blogging, mates
