Let's STOP Spamming

I have been receiving scores of such emails and at most times I will validate it with snopes.com before forwarding them but there had been times I do send such emails out. Not that I concur with spamming but we have to admit that sometimes some of these emails are so meaningful that you just wish to share the goodess around. But for those that says that so and so will receive $$ from AOL ...... the Delete button is hit immediately. So let's forward our emails considerately.

By now, I suspect everyone is familiar with www.snopes.com and/or www.truthorfiction.com for determining whether information recieved via email is just that: true/false or fact/fiction. Both are excellent sites. I received the advice below from one of my correspondents today.

MEMORIZE THIS!

1) Any time you see an E-Mail that says forward this on to '10' of your friends, sign this petition, or you'll get bad luck, good luck, or whatever, it almost always has an E-Mail tracker program attached that tracks the cookies and E-Mails of those folks you forward to. The host sender is getting a copy each time it gets forwarded and then is able to get lists of 'active' E-Mails addresses to use in SPAM E-Mails, or sell to other spammers.

2) Almost all E-Mails that ask you to add your name and forward on to others are similar to that mass letter years ago that asked people to send business cards to the little kid in Florida who wanted to break the Guinness Book of Records for the most cards. All it was, and all any of this type of E-Mail is, is a way to get names and 'cookie' tracking information for telemarketers and spammers - - to validate active E-Mail accounts for their own profitable purposes.

You can do your friends and family members a GREAT favor by sending this information to them; you will be providing a service to your friends, and will be rewarded by not getting thousands of spam E-Mails in the future!

If you have been sending out (FORWARDING) the above kinds of E-Mail, now you know why you get so much SPAM! Do yourself a favor and STOP adding your name(s) to those types of listings regardless how inviting they might sound! You may think you are supporting a GREAT cause, but you are NOT in the long run. Instead, you will be getting tons of junk mail later! Plus, we are helping the spammers get rich! Let's don't make it easy for them! Also: E-Mail petitions are NOT acceptable to Congress or any other organization. To be acceptable, petitions must have a signed signature and full address of the person signing the petition.

Small Baby Cocktail Carrots

Received this email from a friend who have not verified it. I have checked this out and for verification, click on the link at the end of the page

The following information is from a farmer who grows and packages carrots for IGA, METRO, LOBLAWS, SAFEWAY, SAVE-ON, etc.

The small cocktail (baby) carrots you buy in small plastic bags are made using the larger crooked or deformed carrots which are put through a machine which cuts and shapes them into cocktail carrots, most people probably know this already.

What you may not know and should know is the following: once the carrots are cut and shaped into cocktail carrots they are dipped in a solution of water and chlorine in order to preserve them (this is the same chlorine used in your pool) since they do not have their skin or natural protective covering, they give them a higher dose of chlorine. You will notice that once you keep these carrots in your refrigerator for a few days, a white covering will form on the carrots, this is the chlorine which resurfaces. At what cost do we put our health at risk to have esthetically pleasing vegetables which are practically plastic?

We do hope that this information can be passed on to as many people as possible in the hopes of informing them where these carrots come from and how they are processed. Chlorine is a very well known carcinogen. Please let us make this information available to as many people as possible. If you care about your family and friends, pass it on.

What Is The Colour Of Our Money

The title of this blog is so apt. What is the message behind these few words? Are we just giving to our friends, our own flock, same colour and skin, for recognition, for merit making, for religious purpose, our gurus? Are we reaching out to people whom we think is in need or to people who really need?

We cant save the world but we can surely help to brighten a day for someone out there. Lucky are the ones who always have daylight - therefore they do not know what is darkness. One is who abundantly endowed will not know what is a need. People with good health know not what is suffering in pain with anxiety. Take a peep into this world and every morning when you rise, you will give thanks to all that you have and all that do not have.

Whispering Fall - Cameron Highlands

Whispering Fall is located somewhere mid way between Tanah Rata and Ringlet. It used to be an open area but now it is under lock and key as some vegetable operators have taken over the place. If you are lucky you may be able to catch them open (I suppose they open during the weekends)

Books! Books! The Keeper Of Books

Some years back I was trying to reduce the number of books that I have but unsuccessfully. I then told myself no more buying books. Yet another futile attempt. By far I have something like 800 to 1,000 books and I bet it will keep on increasing. Talk about energy works I may just have that book or at least in that category. Talk about reading them - there are some that I have yet to read and some that I have read numerous times. The Celestine Prophecy, I have at least 10 copies of it and I have read it at least 5 times. This is one book that I recommend all my Reiki students and friends to read to have a better understanding on how energy works.

How To Make Tartar Remover

Raspberries are rich in a mild fruit acid which can help remove tartar - a crusty plague buildup, from the teeth. The vodka helps to eliminate the germs caused by tooth disease before they can do their dirty work. This pre-brushing rinse tastes almost good enough to drink. But you should not swallow it. Just swish a small amount in your mouth for about 20 seconds before brushing.

Ingredients :
1. 1 cup water
2. 1/4 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
3. 2 tablespoons vodka

Method :
1. Boil water in small saucepan
2. Add raspberries, reduce to low and allow to simmer for 10 minutes
3. Strain raspberry water through sieve into small mixing bowl
4. Allow to cool for about 5 minutes
5. Add vodka and stir well
6. Transfer liquid to clean glass bottle
7. Shake well before using

Tips :
For best results, keep in fridge when not in use. Will last for about 6 to 8 weeks

Started The Morning With Lump In My Throat. Please Read On

I started the morning with a lump in my throat as I read Yvonne's blog. A young courageous girl who had so many dreams and zest in her life but had to surrender it all to her brain. Tell me if it does not bring a tear to your eyes after reading her blog. But I am sure Yvonne does not want us to weep for her. Let's have her in our prayers and send her all the positive energies of love, cheer and everything bright. And surely we can also go a step further with a little contribution to all her medical bills, a fun day out, a small shopping spree, anything that the heart delights.

Angels Do Exist

Angels are our celestial companions, beings of light who gently walk beside us on our path and remind us of who we truly are and why we are here. We all have many personal angels working with us in spirit to help us to be all that we are. These angels will answer any heartfelt question in harmony with our highest good, showing us the threads of our past and our future. Yet they are not predictive, telling us we must do something; rather they will show us the gifts, resources and opportunities available to us and encourage us to make a choice from our true essence. We are the navigators and drivers of our own lives and the angels simply help us to read the guide map held in our own hearts. Garbage Enzyme UPDATE

I made 4 bottles of Garbage Enzymes (1 orange only/1 apple+pear/2 pineapple+orange) yesterday. Normally one would throw in all the wastes from the kitchen but I have chosen to do just garbage fruit enzyme as it will definitely smell good. When I opened the bottles up this morning, I was welcomed by the sweet smelling fragrance of the fruits. I particularly like the fragrance coming from the pineapple+oranges as it gives off some kind of a sweet tangy refreshing aroma. And I also believe that pineapple is a more effective cleansing agent as it has astringent properties.
